Take Your Next Family Holiday To North America

Take Your Next Family Holiday To North AmericaThere is so much to see and do in North America. Not only will you be able to see the second largest country in the world in Canada, it sits atop of arguably the strongest country in the world – the United States. History, beauty and more are awaiting you in North America. Here are some top places to include in your trip itinerary.

The Grand Canyon

This massive change to the regional landscape is in Arizona, USA. Not only is it one of the Seven Wonders of the World, it is massive. The canyon stretches almost 300 miles and most of the rocky – and steep – walls drop over a mile to the canyon floor.

Banff National Park

This stunning national park happens to be the first one that was ever established in Canada making it that country’s oldest park. It is located in Alberta and also happens to be the largest park in Canada as well as the most visited. It remains largely untouched.

Times Square

A trip to the United States has to include a stop in The Big Apple – New York City. You may know it from the annual New Year’s Eve bash that fills the surrounding area each year. Times Square is visited each year by well over 39-million people.

Niagara Falls

There is no doubt that this is one of the most spectacular natural wonders of North America. The falls are actually three different sets of waterfalls located in Ontario, Canada. Over 14 million people make it to this site each year making it one of the most visited attractions on Earth.

Golden Gate Bridge

Built and completed in 1937, this bright orange bridge is the gateway to the city of San Francisco, California. It happens to be the world’s longest suspension bridge that many see when driving across it. You may choose to bike or walk across it to soak up the views.

Disney World

Located in Orlando, Florida, this is the flagship of the empire created by Walt Disney. It happens to be one of the most popular tourist destinations in North America. It also happens to be the world’s largest and most visited theme park. This is truly a fun and magical place to see.

Glacier Bay National Park

Alaska is home to this stunning jewel. It is one of UNESCO’s World Heritage Sites and is home to massive glaciers. If your trip plans include whale watching, kayaking and wildlife viewing, you can’t do much better than Glacier Bay National Park.

Our travel consultants have travelled extensively in North America. Here is some of what they have to say about their visits:

I have been fortunate to travel to both East & West Canada. This country is stunning. From it’s beautiful scenery like Lake Louise, Banff & Niagara Falls to the wonderful cities of Quebec, Ottawa & Vancouver. If you happen to be there when an Ice Hockey game is on this is something not to be missed. Vancouver is also a great gateway to go to Alaska.

I have been fortunate enough to travel to both the East and West Coast of North America, both of which are truly different and magnificent in their own way. The West Coast of North America offers some truly amazing natural attractions that you would not find anywhere else in the world. Such as The Grand Canyon and the Canadian Rockies, these places are sure to take your breath away, just as they did mine in their splendour. The East Coast on the other hand if full of old world charm, from Boston to Washington D.C. One could get themselves lost wondering around the streets that are centuries old and the museums that would take you weeks to properly see everything. Needless to say, as a history buff I fell in love with the East Coast. And let’s not forget one of the greatest cities in the world, New York City. NYC is one of my most favourite destinations I have had the privilege to visit. You truly are at the centre of the world.

I have visited several of the western states of the USA, including California, Nevada and Utah. I travelled throughout the many National Parks which have picture postcard scenery and all the views are unique. Visiting the National Parkes exceeded my expectations.

I travelled through California’s High Sierra’s including Sequoia National Park, Yosemite National Park, Lake Tahoe and Mammoth Mountain. Then continued through Death Valley, Grand Canyon, Canyon de Chelly National park, Monument Valley, Antelope Canyon, Bryce and Zion National Parks. All stunningly beautiful.
